Tractor Trailer Crash on I-495
At 1:06 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023, Virginia State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer. The tractor-trailer was traveling south on I-495 when it crashed near Exit 44 at Georgetown Pike in Fairfax County. The impact of the crash caused the vehicle to catch fire. The driver was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
