Broad Run High School's Project Graduation committee is selling White House Christmas ornaments to support the drug- and alcohol-free party for graduating seniors of the 2006-2007 school year.

The cost is $20 each for one ornament, $18 each for five to nine ornaments, and $16 each for 10 or more ornaments. Contact Carol Peters at 703-450-2344 or carol.peters4@verizon.net.

Dominion High School is offering partnership opportunities for its annual girls' and boys' basketball tournament, the Brown's Nissan Tip-Off Classic, which kicks off the 2006-2007 season. Eight teams will participate in this four-day event held at Dominion High School in Sterling, Nov. 29-Dec. 2. The Broad Run High School Project Graduation committee is selling raffle tickets. The cost of a ticket is $5 and 400 tickets will be sold. The committee will draw one name to receive $1,000. The Classroom of Discovery, a not-for-profit preschool in Sterling, is offering a new class, Adult-Tot Bridge to Discovery. Class will be available for a Wednesday section beginning the second semester. It runs 9-10:30 a.m. Visit www.classroomofdiscovery.org.
