<lst>Thomas J. Fitzpatrick, president and chief operating officer of Sallie Mae, was the keynote speaker at Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce's monthly luncheon at the Hyatt Regency Reston. The Sallie Mae Fund, a charitable organization sponsored by Sallie Mae, announced a $5,000 donation to the Have a Heart: Give a Book Drive, co-sponsored by the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce. The donation benefits the South Lakes Pyramid in an effort to spread the fun of reading to the community's local schools.

Jaime Jones, a certified physician assistant, has joined Women First OB/GYN in Reston. Women First OB/GYN is located at 1860 Town Center Drive Suite 140, Reston.

The Reston Chorale is actively partnering with corporations and individuals who can contribute financial support for the world premiere presentation of "A Journey to Freedom, Honor and Glory." The U.S. Air Force has selected Northrop Grumman Corporation to build a national military command and control system for Bulgaria. Under the contract, Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems sector will develop, integrate, test, install and support the command and control system for the Bulgarian National Military Command Center and train Bulgarian soldiers to use the system. Northrop Grumman Mission Systems, based in Reston, is a global integrator of complex, mission-enabling systems and services for defense, intelligence and civil government markets. The sector's technology leadership and expertise spans areas such as strategic systems, including intercontinental ballistic missiles; missile defense; intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance; command and control; technical services and training.
