Fairfax Supervisors Vote to Increase Advertised Tax Rate by 1 cent
Each 1 cent increase raises taxpayer bill by $45.
The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors voted 6-3 Tuesday, March 6, to advertise the real estate tax rate for FY 2013 as $1.08 per $100 of assessed value. The current FY 2012 rate is $1.07.

Area Divers to Represent the U.S. at Junior Pan American Championships
Grayson Campbell, a sophomore at Madison High School, and Max Flory, a seventh-grader at Robinson Secondary School, will represent the United States at the Junior Pan American Diving Championships from Sept. 26-29 in Tucson, Ariz. More than 100 divers from nine countries will participate.

Alexandria Obituary: Ralph Horatio Grimm
Ralph Horatio Grimm, a lifetime member of Aerie 871 of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Old Town, died Feb. 3, 2016 at the age of 89.
