Family of Four Found Dead in Herndon
Police make discovery during welfare check, believe husband killed family before turning gun on himself.
A Herndon family of four was found dead in their home on Point Rider Lane the morning of Tuesday, Sept. 25. Fairfax County Police responded after a co-worker of one of the family members reported that they had not been to work this week.

Fairfax County Executive Ed Long and Supervisor Pat Herrity (R-Springfield) met with Springfield residents at the lobby of the West Springfield District Police Station on Wednesday, March 18 to discuss the county’s proposed budget. About 25 people gathered at the impromptu meeting place due to a scheduling conflict with another group for the meeting room.

Springtime in Vienna means concerts on the Town Green, festivals, outdoor sports, farmers’ markets and Vienna Idol auditions. This 3rd annual Vienna Idol, a music competition founded to raise money for the Khristin Kyllo “Dream Big” Memorial Fund, began its auditions in late April. Semi-finals run during ViVa! Vienna!, Sunday, May 25, on Church Street and finals take place on the Town Green, Friday, June 5.

Great Falls: ‘Snow White’ at Riverbend Park
Travelling Players perform ‘Snow White’ with a comedic twist.
Traveling Players Ensemble performs “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” an original adaptation of the classic fairytale, at Riverbend Park on Thursday, Aug. 25 at 7:30 p.m.. Check out Traveling Players’ Commedia Troupe as they take this classic tale of miners, stepmothers, mirrors and apples and infuse it with the hilarious improvisational tradition of Commedia dell’Arte.
