Fairfax County Planning Commission voted Wednesday, Sept. 14, to recommend approval of plans that will permit development less than 200 feet from the required distance between residential buildings and I-95 and to allow for increased height of a noise barrier to be located 15 feet from I-95 right-of-way.

The Fairfax County Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting and an Ask Fairfax online discussion to inform the public about Phase Two of the Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project.

The Fairfax County Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting and an Ask Fairfax online discussion to inform the public about Phase Two of the Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project. The sessions will provide information related to Phase Two project cost, financing, physical layout and Silver Line station names. Participants will be able to complete the online Station Names Survey in person at the public meetings. The Board of Supervisors will also hold a public hearing to receive public comment on the Phase 2 project.

Celebrating the Change of Season

Children can welcome the change of season at MCC's Harvest Happenings.

Young children ages 3-8 can experience the fun and excitement of the changing of the seasons as they participate in a variety of activities at the McLean Community Center’s Harvest Happenings. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28, at the center, located at 1234 Ingleside Ave. General admission is $5 at the door; admission is free for children up to 36 months old.
