Comedy offers blend of New York and Jewish humor.

The Little Theatre of Alexandria (LTA) is presenting "The Tale of the Allergist's Wife," a comedy written by Charles Busch, from Oct. 24 to Nov. 14. The play revolves around Marjorie Taub, a middle-aged Upper West Side doctor’s wife, who is devoted to mornings at the Whitney Museum, afternoons at the Museum of Modern Art and evenings at the Brooklyn Academy of Music.

Barrie Masters’ son David died Nov. 13, 2009. A Fairfax County Police officer shot and killed him while he sat, unarmed, and behind the wheel of his car. Last week, more than five years later, Fairfax County Police released the dashboard video from the cruiser of the officer who shot David Masters.

She was also delighted because this was her father’s bus. He was the chauffer for Lucy Madeira, head and founder of The Madeira School. And for this event, he was given permission to bring his young black daughter onto a bus full of white students to see the historic parade.
