After six months of meetings, the Ad Hoc commission created by Board of Supervisors chairman Sharon Bulova to review police practices has concluded its primary work. Chair of the commission’s Independent Oversight and Investigations subcommittee Jack Johnson presented that group’s final recommendations to the full commission on Oct. 8.

2015 season kicked off on Feb. 28.
Freeman Store and Museum, on Historic Church Street, kicked off its 2015 season on Feb. 28, introducing vintage puzzles and toys, and antiques to its collection of Vienna-logo, made-in-Virginia and American-made nostalgic products. Known locally as Freeman House, the store and museum is owned by the Town of Vienna and operated by Historic Vienna, Inc.
