Asian Grill Celebrates Chinese New Year
The Asian Grill restaurant on Rolling Road in Springfield is celebrating the Chinese New Year now through March 8 with fresh, traditional Chinese dishes in an updated menu that are sure to wow the crowd. Owned by Darrin Ho and his wife Jenny, the restaurant with a staff of seven in the West Springfield Shopping Center is offering a Chinese New Year feast for $65.95 per person.

To the Editor: I love this community. There are so many ways to serve a community as diverse and as vibrant as ours. I recently competed in a special election to succeed Congresswoman Comstock. While I came up short in the vote count, largely due to the unfortunate weather on Election Day, I am as inspired to serve as I was on that day. My passion to serve others only strengthens with each pursuit.

Supervising Public Safety
First meeting since 2011 includes packed agenda, full house.
The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Public Safety Committee, chaired by Gerry Hyland (D-Mount Vernon), met on Tuesday, June 9 for the first time since June 2011. Since then, there have been six officer-involved shootings in Fairfax County, including the August 2013 shooting death of John Geer. Police handling of the communications and investigation of that shooting led to the formation in March 2015 of the Ad Hoc Police Practices Review Commission.
