Turning their tassels and tossing their caps into the air, nearly 700 Westfield High students graduated on Wednesday, June 18, in GMU’s Patriot Center.

It’s WWII in England when four siblings make their way to a world called Narnia through a magic wardrobe. There, they have all kinds of adventures, including defeating the White Witch, the self-proclaimed ruler of Narnia. That’s the premise of the City of Fairfax Theatre Co.’s upcoming production, “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.” It’ll be presented Dec. 1-4 at Truro Anglican Church, 10520 Main St. in Fairfax.
WFCM Seeks Community’s Help Providing Backpacks
Hoping to furnish them for 2,000 local schoolchildren.
Western Fairfax Christian Ministries (WFCM) is once more collecting new backpacks for local students in need. It hopes to provide nearly 2,000 backpacks for qualified, low- income children attending 23 different schools in the Centreville, Chantilly and Westfield high school pyramids, plus Mountain View High.

WHS Presents ‘The Crucible’
Salem Witch Trials come to life on stage.
Featuring a cast and crew of 40 — plus original music created by a student — Westfield High presents Arthur Miller’s powerful drama, "The Crucible." Set in 1692 Salem, Mass., it’s the story of a husband and wife and what happens when the husband’s former lover falsely accuses Salem citizens of being witches.
Centreville: The Alliance Theatre Presents “The Addams Family”
Takes the audience on a joyride.
Gomez, Morticia, Lurch and the rest of the gang from the classic TV show, “The Addams Family,” will come to life onstage when The Alliance Theatre presents the musical comedy of the same name. The show runs three weekends, April 29-May 15, at Mountain View High, 5775 Spindle Court in Centreville.

After giving his State of Sully address Monday night, Supervisor Michael R. Frey (R-Sully) said his next words almost matter-of-factly. “Regarding the upcoming elections in November, I will not be seeking reelection,” he said. “You reach a time where change is appropriate, and that time has come for me.”
