Testing Their Mettle Chantilly Academy Criminal Justice students competed with nearly 100 Fairfax County Public Schools students in a series of exercises designed to test their skills and capabilities for future careers in law enforcement on May 6. The event took place at the Fairfax County Police Academy, located in Chantilly. Students in the program, a collaboration between the Fairfax County Public Schools and the Fairfax County Police Department, demonstrated their skills learned in the classroom in a series of exercises that included: Dragging dummies and climbing walls on a unique obstacle course, processing mock crime scenes and determining a suspect based on evidence they had gathered, and developing composite sketches based on an altercation they had witnessed.
