As family and friends gathered around on March 19 to celebrate the athletes of the Nannie J. Lee 10 and under girls’ basketball team’s season, in came WNBA Washington Mystic Basketball player Tierra Ruffin-Pratt and retired NBA Basketball Player Jerrod Mustaf. Ruffin-Pratt and Mustaf asked if the girls wanted their 2017-2018 jerseys signed with their autographs, and the girls responded with a loud “Yes!” Coach Oswald and his players were able to take pictures with the two stars as well as have their PINK basketball officially autographed by them. It’s on display at the Nannie J. Lee Center located at 1108 Jefferson St. “If you really want to change the world you have to inspire young people. That’s how you change the world,” said Mustaf.
