Fraternal twins Shelby and Shane Gardner, 13, use their NASA-approved goggles to see a partial solar eclipse at 2:35 p.m. Monday, Aug. 21 as Fairfax resident Deb Hertz, 58, also protects her eyes with a pinhole projector she made at home in less than 10 minutes with an office supply box, tin foil, tape and a strip of white paper.
