Alexandria Police Foundation President Willem Polak, French Embassy Police and Homeland Security Attache Pierre-Edouard Colliex and Alexandria Police Chief Earl Cook join APD K9 Officer Robert Egan and K9 Czekaj as the foundation visited the French Embassy May 17 to donate a K9 protective vest to the French National Police in honor of a French police dog killed in last year’s terrorist attacks in Paris.

The November 2015 terrorist attacks in Paris left 137 dead and more than 368 injured. One of those victims was Diesel, a 7-year-old Belgian Malinos police dog for RAID, France’s anti-terrorist police unit.
