Colonial Pipeline gasoline pipe line break in Centreville VA during the week of Sept 21, 2015, causing some 7,000 gallons of refined gasoline to dump into nearby streams and lakes. 2,300 gallons has been recovered to date as cleanup continues. Local resturants were closed while EPA,NTSB and other local, State and Federal agencies assisted.

In an Oct. 5 update, Colonial Pipeline Company stated that it continues its work with the Fairfax County Fire Department and others in Centreville to ensure public safety and mitigate environmental and other impacts its work there may be causing.
