Each Thursday in October "Bike Ambassadors" from the Washington Area
Bicyclist Association and local volunteers from the Alexandria Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee and Alexandria Spokeswomen used signs and smiles to encourage respectful and lawful behavior along Union Street in Old Town.
