SCMS Principal Marsha Manning displays a letter students received from President Barack Obama last spring at South County Secondary School. The students, from Janet Dower’s middle school English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes, wrote a letter to the president about the environment and endangered species. They also extended an invitation to visit them in their new middle school, Manning said.
