Flanked by his parents, Ron and Gennene Johnson, Chantilly graduate Jordan Johnson signs to play baseball at Bluefield College. Also pictured is the school’s athletic director, Ewell Vernon. Johnson learned of Bluefield through fellow Chantilly alum, Jon Link, who’s currently pitching in the Chicago White Sox organization. Link played for Bluefield after transferring from Virginia Commonwealth. As a junior who transferred into Chantilly, Johnson helped the Chargers reach the 2008 Northern Region title game before losing to Lake Braddock. During his two-year career at Chantilly, Johnson went 11-3 with a 2.26 ERA and 69 strikeouts.
