A team of students from Dominion High School of Sterling defeated teams from Islamic Saudi Academy of Alexandria and South Lakes High School of Reston, on It's Academic, which will air Saturday, Nov. 8, at 10:30 a.m., on NBC4, Channel 4.
The Dominion team consists of captain Kathleen Minks, Ben Thomas and Amanda MacLean. Their faculty coaches are David Snyder and Janice Runge. The team will return later in the season for a playoff match. Mac McGarry is the long-time host.
