The picturesque nature of Clifton’s Main Street drew Warrenton plein air artist Palmer Smith to the town around 2008, when he set up his easel to paint town landmarks, including the antique buggy in front the Heart in Hand restaurant. Smith belongs to the recently formed Art Guild of Clifton.
