Holiday lights reflected on the snow
Schools and almost everything else were closed Monday and Tuesday in Arlington as more than 7 inches of snow was recorded at National Airport.
Neighbors were popping out the front door with the video on their phone or pulling out the regular Nikon and taking pictures on Monday to send to their relatives in sunnier parts of the country. Nobody here ventured out in the frigid temperatures so they captured the images in their own backyards including animal tracks across the yard, hungry birds, snow covered furniture and the handy little red wagon covered in snow instead of loaded with groceries.
