Thursday, July 4:

Return to the first president’s home on Independence Day itself for An American Celebration at Mount Vernon, complete with daytime fireworks, a moving naturalization ceremony and interpretation surrounding Mount Vernon’s enslaved laborers.

Saturday, July 13: The City of Alexandria celebrates its milestone 275th birthday and the USA’s 248th birthday with a grand fireworks display at 9:30 p.m. at Oronoco Bay Park. Experience special programming and activities at the George Washington Masonic National Memorial and Waterfront Park, plus live jazz from the Yellow Door Quartet and an art show opening at Canal Center Plaza, among ten vantage points for fireworks viewing.
