Detectives from the Fairfax County Police Department’s Major Crimes Bureau are currently investigating a series of overnight shootings in Centreville. They also believe the six incidents are related.
And although no one was injured in these shootings, shots were fired into two homes while the residents were inside, and a vehicle was fired upon while being driven. The shooting incidents were as follows:
* Oct. 23 at 10:42 p.m. – 7100 block of Ordway Road, someone shot into an occupied home.
* Oct. 28 at 8:30 p.m. – 6900 block of Hovingham Court, someone shot into an occupied home.
* Oct. 29 at 9 p.m. – 7100 block of Ordway Road, gunshots heard; no damage found.
* Oct. 29 at 10:30 p.m. – 7100 block of Ordway Road, gunshots heard; no damage found.
* Oct. 29 at 10:30 p.m. – Ordway Road/Compton Road, vehicle door struck while a person was driving.
* Oct. 30 at 7:10 p.m. – 7100 block of Ordway Road, gunshots heard; no damage found.
