Great Falls Grange members, including Jorge Adeler, president and representatives from Great Falls Citizens Association, Optimists Club, and Rotary, will brief the community on evolving plans to sign an agreement with the Fairfax County Park Authority (FCPA) to operate the Grange and adjacent historic schoolhouse for private and community events, investing the proceeds in internal building improvements and new landscaping.
FCPA does not have the financial and staffing resources to manage these buildings and other similar historic buildings throughout the county. The public-private partnership between FCPA and GFGF is seen as a prototype for a countywide application that could eventually be a self-supporting community center for Great Falls.
