Between Jan. 1, 12 a.m. and March 31, 11:59 a.m.
A resident found a student loan on her credit report that she did not apply for.
Grand Larceny
100 Block Courthouse Rd, SW
Between June 10, 12 a.m. and June 14, 12 a.m.
A citizen reported that a large charity donation bin for collecting clothes was stolen.
Petit Larceny

900 Maple Avenue, East
Between June 17, 12 p.m. and July 13, 1:28 p.m.
An employee reported that someone stole money and several metro cards from the business.
Protective Order Violation 21-003736
1400 Block Cottage Street, SW
Between June 30, 12 p.m. and July 12, 11:59 p.m.
A resident reported a violation of a protective order that took place via text.
Fraud
800 Block Hine Street, SE
July 7 between 12 p.m. and 12:10 p.m.
A resident reported receiving a phone call from a person identifying themselves as an Amazon employee. The caller attempted to obtain the banking information of the resident to investigate an alleged suspicious transaction on her account. The resident became suspicious and immediately terminated the call after realizing it was a scam.
Trespassing
Patrick Henry Library
101 Maple Avenue, East
July 8, 12:27 p.m.
An employee requested police assistance with a person that had previously been trespassed from the library. The person was advised that she is not allowed in the library because she had been trespassed. The person left the library without further disruptions. Police advised the employee on how to obtain a warrant.
Trespassing
200 Block Ross Dr, SW
July 9. 8:13 p.m.
A resident requested police assistance with an ongoing dispute with a neighbor. The resident wished to have the neighbor trespassed from her property. The neighbor was identified and officially trespassed from the property.
Vandalism
500 Block Lewis Street, NW
Between July 9, 11 p.m. and July 10, 6 a.m.
A resident reported that someone unscrewed several of his exterior garage lightbulbs and shattered them on his house roof, pavement, and car.
Emotionally Disturbed Person
Aponi Rd, SE
July 11, 1:59 p.m.
A citizen requested a welfare check on a resident. Officers arrived on the scene and met with the resident. After speaking with the resident and the family member, it was determined that police were not needed. The resident and the family member decided instead to visit a medical facility for the resident's assistance.
Emotionally Disturbed Person
Hillcrest Dr, SW
July 11, 8:54 p.m.
A resident requested police assistance with an emotionally disturbed person that was creating a disturbance inside the residence. Officers responded to the home and determined that the emotionally disturbed person needed medical help. The patient was transported to a medical facility.
Animal Case

140 Park Street, SE
July 13, 1:24 p.m.
A citizen reported that she attempted to pet a dog while she was inside an elevator and was bitten by the animal. The owners of the dog were contacted and advised of the 10-day quarantine.
Threats
400 Block Council Dr, NE
July 13, 5:30 p.m.
A resident going through an acrimonious divorce received a threatening phone call from an unknown individual using his wife's cell phone.
CRASHES
425 Maple Avenue, West
Vehicle-2 was traveling Westbound on Maple Avenue West in the center lane. Vehicle-1 was attempting to make a left turn out of the parking lot at 425 Maple Avenue West. The driver of vehicle-1 stated that traffic stopped in the travel lane closest to the sidewalk and the driver waved for vehicle-1 to enter traffic. As vehicle-1 attempted to make a left turn, they collided with vehicle- 2. The driver of vehicle-2 stated that they went to the hospital the next day and were told there was an injury to their rib cage.
200 Block Center Street, S
July 9 12:01 p.m.
Vehicle-1 reversed in the 200 Block of Center Street South. Vehicle-2 was directly behind Vehicle-1, and stopped on the roadway. Vehicle-1 reversed into Vehicle-2.
Driver-1 received a summons for not paying full time and attention.
300 Maple Avenue, East 21-003659
July 9 12:46 p.m.
Driver-1 was in a parking lot on the north side of the 300 Block of Maple Avenue East. Driver-2 was traveling westbound in the center turn lane of the 300 Block of Maple Avenue, East. Vehicle-1 made a left turn entering the highway and struck Vehicle-2.
Driver-1 received a summons for failing to stop before entering a highway.
200 Lawyers Road, NW 21-003658
July 9 1:15 p.m.
Vehicle-1 was attempting to turn left into the parking lot of 200 Lawyers Road NW and cut off Vehicle-2, traveling Southbound on Lawyers Rd NW. Vehicle-2 did not have time to stop and struck Vehicle-1.
Maple Avenue East/East Street, SE 21-003670
July 9 6:00 p.m.
Vehicle-2 stopped for the red light at Maple Avenue East / East Street SE when it was rear-ended by Vehicle-1. The driver of Vehicle-1 admitted to being distracted and not having enough time to stop before rear-ending Vehicle-2.
Driver-1 received a summons for not paying full time and attention.
Hit and Run - 431 Maple Avenue, West 21-003673
July 9 7:00 p.m.
Vehicle-2 was parked in the parking lot of 431 Maple Avenue West when it was struck by Vehicle-1. Vehicle-2 had damage along the passenger side, and the front passenger door is unable to open due to damage to the fender. Vehicle-1 fled the scene without exchanging information.
Hit and Run - 330 Center Street, North SE 21-003716
July 11 8:32 p.m.
Vehicle-2 was traveling northbound on Center Street North near the American Legion when Vehicle-1, traveling southbound in the opposite lane of travel, crossed over the double yellow line and sideswiped the driver-side rear fender. Vehicle-1 then fled the scene without exchanging information.
Hit and Run – Nutley Street, SW / Maple Avenue, West 21-003718
July 11 9:13 p.m.
Vehicle-2 was stopped on the right left-turn lane of northbound Nutley Street, SW at the red light with Maple Avenue, West. Vehicle-1 was behind Vehicle-2 and sideswiped it from the same direction as it traveled into and through the left left-turn lane. The right front bumper of Vehicle-1 made contact with the rear right bumper of Vehicle-2 and maintained contact along the entirety of the vehicles' sides. Driver-1 did not recall striking Vehicle-2 and could not advise what happened. Driver-1 charged with hit and run and reckless driving.
Driver-1 received two summonses: Reckless Driving – General and Hit and Run.
303 Maple Avenue, West 21-003725
July 12 9:10 a.m.
Vehicle-1 was attempting to turn into the parking lot of 303 Maple Avenue, West. Vehicle-2 was in the parking lot trying to exit but blocking the entrance/exit. Driver-1 became impatient and aggressively attempted to turn into the parking lot but struck Vehicle-2's front fender. Vehicle-1 continued through the lot and eventually stopped where both drivers exchanged "words." The drivers separated by stating they were driving to the police to report it. There were no injuries - only minor property damage—Driver-1 at fault - improper turning.
