Burke Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department participated in a Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Open House last Saturday. In addition to events all across the county, the Burke Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department was awarded a grant of more than $15,000 from the Firehouse Subs Foundation, which was used to procure a Lucas Chest Compression System. This lifesaving EMS equipment will benefit the citizens of Burke, Fairfax, Fairfax Station, Springfield and Annandale for years to come.
