Results of the 18th National Drug Take Back Initiative
On October 26, 2019, the Town of Vienna Police Department in conjunction with the United States Drug Enforcement Administration, (D.E.A.), participated in the 18th National Drug Take Back Initiative. As a result of that initiative, the Town of Vienna Police Department collected and safely disposed of 281 pounds of expired or no longer needed medications from area citizens. The October initiative collected approximately 23,754 pounds of medications statewide. The Vienna Police Department plans to continue its participation with the United States D.E.A. for future initiatives.
