Detectives from the Mount Vernon District Police Station are asking for tips after several delivery drivers were robbed. Since Jan. 10, there have been nine robberies of delivery drivers in the area of Pembrook Village Drive and Buckman Road. The suspect orders food by phone to be delivered to a random address near the listed locations below:
Jan. 13, 12:02 a.m., 8400 block of Richmond Highway
Jan. 18, 4:30 p.m., Janna Lee Avenue/Tamarind Street
Jan. 19, 9:55 p.m., 4300 block of Pembrook Village Drive
Jan. 22, 9 p.m., 4300 block of Pembrook Village Drive
Jan. 25, 7:31 p.m., 4300 block of Pembrook Village Drive
Feb. 20, 8:22 p.m., 3400 block of Holly Hill Road
Feb. 25, 11:08 p.m., 4200 block of Buckman Road
March 2, 10:08 p.m., 4200 block of Buckman Road
March 4, 11:03 p.m., 4300 block of Pembrook Village Drive
The suspect has been described as a black man, age varying between 20 and 30 years old. Witnesses have described him as being 5’8” to 6’ tall and medium build. In the robberies, he has worn dark clothing, with a mask covering his face. A handgun has been displayed during the robberies. Most of the robberies have occurred between 7 p.m. and midnight.
