The Children’s Science Center (CSC), a nonprofit organization whose mission is to inspire a love of learning Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) by providing opportunities to explore and create, recently was awarded a $15,000 Cultural Excellence grant from the Wells Fargo Foundation. This award was given to support the youth outreach and education programs, including the Family Science Night Program, that the Children’s Science Center facilitates during each school year. Each year, 50,000 visitors explore the Children’s Science Center Lab located at Fair Oaks Mall in Fairfax, and another 20,000 visitors experience its programs delivered at schools, libraries and other venues throughout the region.
