ASSAULT/DISORDERLY CONDUCT – Beulah Road/Leesburg Pike, 8/16/19, 7:32 p.m. A woman reported a man threatened her with a box cutter and was following her in his car. The woman sought refuge at a fire station until officers arrived. A 22-year-old Great Falls man was charged with assault and disorderly conduct. He was taken to the Adult Detention Center and held without bond.

GRAND LARCENY / ASSAULT/RESISTING ARREST: 2815 Merrilee Drive (Home Depot), 8/11/19, 3:45 p.m. Officers responded for a larceny at the Home Depot and found store security fighting with the suspect when they arrived. When the suspect was being arrested, he pulled away and ran from officers. He was caught after a short foot pursuit. It was learned that the suspect had committed grand larceny at another Home Depot just before coming to this location and had over $3,000 worth of stolen items with him. A 36-year-old Maryland man was charged with grand larceny, assault and resisting arrest.
PURSUIT/DWI/HIT AND RUN/POSSESSION OF FIREARM BY A CONVICTED FELON/DWI REFUSAL: Arlington Boulevard/Jaguar Trail, 8/9/19, 11:51 p.m. Prince William County Police provided a lookout for a Nissan Altima driving recklessly. Officers found the car and attempted a traffic stop. The car was stopped with the assistance of Virginia State Police and the driver ran off. A 29-year-old man of Stafford, was found nearby with the help of K-9 and Fairfax One. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, hit and run crash, possession of a firearm by felon, possession of ammunition by felon, failure to stop, assault on a law enforcement officer and DWI refusal.
UNLAWFUL WOUNDING: 2200 block of Orchid Drive, 8/10/19, 9:23 p.m. Officers responded to the area for two men fighting. Officers found and arrested the suspect nearby. A 50-year-old Falls Church man was charged with unlawful wounding. The victim was taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not life threatening.
