Despite the intermittent rain, the crowds were steady at the first day of the 41st annual Burke Centre Festival on Sept. 8 at the Burke Conservancy Festival Grounds (The next day - Sunday - the Festival was cancelled due to the worsening weather.). This year’s festival featured 150 booths, including an Arts and Crafts Show with 80 exhibitors, 30 community outreach booths, five live bands, Fairfax County Police, Fire and Rescue displays, emergency preparedness area, dance and other entertainment, and 20 food vendors.
