Food and Wine Fundraiser
Earth Fare is holding a food-and-wine sampling fundraiser for FACETS, on Wednesday, Sept. 12, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. A $5 donation is suggested to participate. Earth Fare is at 11052 Lee Hwy. in Fairfax.
11th Congressional District Forum
The public is invited to the Candidate Forum for the 11th Congressional District 11. It’s set for Sunday, Sept. 16, from 2-4 p.m., at the Sherwood Community Center, 3740 Old Lee Hwy. in Fairfax. The three candidates featured are U.S. Rep. Gerry Connolly (D, incumbent); Jeff Dove (R) and Stevan Porter (L). The nonpartisan League of Women Voters of the Fairfax Area is hosting this event.
