Sprouts Farmers Market and LA Fitness to Open New Locations in the Town of Herndon: Sterling Organization, a private equity real estate investment firm headquartered in Palm Beach, Fla. announced on their website in 2016 the off-market acquisition of Herndon Centre in the Town of Herndon for $7million. “The real estate fundamentals of- and the demographics surrounding- this property are nothing short of exceptional,” Brian Kosoy, Managing Principal, President and CEO of Sterling Organization said at that time. Currently on the company's website is a photographic rendering depicting Sprouts Farmers Market and LA Fitness on the property. These two businesses purportedly will anchor most of the available 84,100 square foot building, Sterling states and leave approximately 12,000 square feet for small shop space. Partial demolition of the KMart building is underway.

Giant Grocery Store Coming to Herndon; takes over former Shoppers Food Warehouse location: Regency Centers, owners and operators of grocery-anchored retail centers depict on their website that a Giant grocery store is moving into the former Shoppers Food Warehouse space in the Village Center at Dulles located at 2445 Centreville Road, Herndon. A photograph rendering of the new store is on the Regency Centers website. Construction crews are on site demolishing parts of the building.
