On Monday, April 30, volunteers and families joined representatives from Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Greater Washington, D.C. and Inova Children’s Hospital to celebrate the grand opening of a new Ronald McDonald Family Room on the Hematology/Oncology floor.
Ronald McDonald Family Rooms are quiet, welcoming places of respite for parents and caregivers that provide such amenities as coffee, snacks, computer stations, and comfortable seating, in addition to being the hub for the Hospitality a la Carte that brings care and comfort to the bedside of patients on the floor.
The new Ronald McDonald Family Room was made possible by a donation from Syed and Sadia Anderabi, who were in attendance with their family. The Anderabis manage four McDonald’s in the State of Maryland and cite Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Washington, D.C. as their passion.
