Vienna Police Department Welcomes New Officer

On June 25, 2018, Officer John A. Wallace joined the Town of Vienna Police Department. Prior to joining the department, Officer Wallace served with the Fairfax County Police Department for approximately 31 years, where he worked in patrol, as a detective in the Criminal Investigations Bureau, homicide, narcotics and sex crimes divisions. Officer Wallace was born in Washington, D.C. and grew up in the Montgomery County area of Maryland. He graduated from the University of Richmond with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management with a minor in Leadership. He is also a veteran who served in the United States Army for three years. Officer Wallace has been a member of an adult league hockey team for the last ten years and is a big Redskins and Capitals fan. Wallace has a fiancée and two adult daughters. One is an active Fairfax County Police Officer, and the other one is a Prince William County Firefighter.
