Our Lady of Good Counsel (OLGC) Catholic School sponsored the Town of Vienna’s Parks and Recreation’s first Chillin’ on Church event of the season on Friday, June 15. Chillin’ on Church is a town block party in the heart of Vienna where friends and neighbors come to listen and dance to a live band performance, grab dinner from one of several food trucks, and sip on a favorite beverage. OLGC School sponsored the band The Rockits and greeted attendees at a tent near the Freeman House. At the tent Adrianne Jewett, school principal, teachers and church staff handed out bubbles, reusable water bottles, seat cushions, temporary tattoos and foam fingers to showcase their Wildcat pride around the event. Current families, as well as prospective families, stopped by the tent to talk and learn more about the K-8 grade school, which is starting a Preschool this 2018-19 school year. OLGC School has a long standing reputation for academic excellence and a caring environment which facilitates learning and spiritual, social, emotional and physical growth and just celebrated its 60th Anniversary.
