Studies show that students have more success in the classroom when they have a positive learning environment, and critical to facilitating that learning is a modern classroom that is equipped to prepare students for the jobs of the 21st century. I encourage voters in Fairfax County to support our students, their families, their teachers, and our community by voting “Yes” on the Fairfax County School Bond referendum on Nov. 7.
The $315 million referendum includes construction of new elementary schools, additions to existing schools, and renovations of buildings that are at the end of their life cycle. In Lee District, the Bond will fund renovations at Mount Vernon Woods Elementary and planning for Hybla Valley Elementary. These improvements will foster an environment that provides for improved engagement between teachers and students and the success of our future workforce. Please support Fairfax County’s next generation and vote “Yes” for the School Bond referendum on Nov. 7.
