Springfield resident Cristan Taylor, 48, has received a three-year prison sentence for conspiracy to distribute cocaine.
According to a March 3 release from U.S. Attorney Dana Boente’s office Taylor was dealing cocaine from November 2014 until February 2016. He received between one ounce to one kilogram at a time from Hameed Jide Bello in Fort Washington, Maryland.
Taylor distributed that cocaine around Fairfax County and Pennsylvania, the release said.
Fairfax County Police began working on the case as their own narcotics investigation. It was investigated on the federal level by the FBI and DEA as part of the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) Operation Fifty Pounder.
