ROBBERY: 7100 block of Richmond Highway. March 4, 10:25 p.m. The victim walked out of his apartment building when he was approached by three males; one displaying a handgun. They threatened the victim and demanded money and a cell phone from him. The victim refused and began to struggle with the suspects. He managed to get the gun (which was a BB gun) from them and the suspects ran away. The victim was taken to a local hospital and treated for minor injuries.
ROBBERY: 6600 block of Tower Drive. March 5, 7:13 p.m. Two men were walking on Tower Drive when they were approached by two suspects. The suspects threatened the victims and demanded money, but no weapon was seen. The victims handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and they were not injured. The suspects fled toward Beacon Hill Shopping Center.
POSSESSION OF SCHEDULE I/II DRUGS WITH THE INTENT TO SELL/RESISTING ARREST/DRUNK IN PUBLIC/ARREST: Richmond Highway/Ladson Lane, March 2 around 10:30 p.m. Officers saw a man acting disorderly in the area of Richmond Highway and Ladson Lane. An investigation determined he was intoxicated. When officers attempted to take him into custody, he resisted and became combative. Officers were able to gain control of the suspect and a 30-year-old man from Triangle, Va., was taken into custody. He was taken to the Adult Detention Center and charged with possession of schedule I/II drugs with the intent to sell, drunk in public and resisting arrest.
COMMERCIAL ARMED ROBBERY: 8700 block of Richmond Highway (Family Dollar), Feb. 24, around 11:30 a.m. An employee was ringing up a man at the cash register when the man displayed a handgun, demanded cash and took an undisclosed amount from the register. The suspect fled on foot toward the rear of the store. He was described as black and was wearing a green shirt and black pants. The victim did not require medical attention.
ARMED ROBBERY: 2600 block of Arlington Drive, Feb. 24, around 8 p.m. A 40-year-old man was walking in a parking lot toward his home when two men approached him from behind. One suspect displayed a handgun and demanded the victim’s wallet. The suspects ran off with the wallet toward the apartment complex. One suspect was described as Hispanic, around 18 to 20 years old, about 150 pounds, wearing a gray jacket with red stripes on the sleeves. The other one was black, around 18 to 20 years old, about 170 pounds, wearing a gray, hooded sweatshirt and had his face covered with a black bandana. The victim did not require medical attention.
ARMED ROBBERY: 7800 block of Parrot Place, Feb. 25, around 4:30 a.m. A 55-year-old man was getting into his truck when a man approached him, displayed a handgun and demanded money. The victim did not relinquish any cash and the suspect ran off. The victim did not require medical attention.
BURGLARY: 8400 block of Huerta Court, Feb. 23, around 6 p.m. A homeowner reported that someone broke into the home and took property. An investigation developed a possible suspect and the case is ongoing.
ARMED ROBBERY: 7200 block of Fairchild Drive, Feb. 21, around 6:50 p.m. A pizza delivery employee was leaving an apartment, when two men approached him, displayed a handgun and knocked him to the ground. The suspects demanded cash and fled the scene.
