Dr. Thomas Costa, Paul Walden and Susan Hayward-Costa of Historic Pohick Church, Lorton participated in the Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier of the Revolution outside the Old Presbyterian Meeting House in Alexandria as part of the events on President's Day, 2017. Rev. and Mrs. Costa are members of the Historic Pohick Church Docent Guild, and Walden is the president of the George Washington Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution. The annual event in conjunction with the Kate Waller Barrett Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution is to honor the soldiers of the Revolutionary War.
