There’s a new dining option in Old Town. BurgerFi, a fast food restaurant that boasts menu choices made from scratch with locally purchased produce, hosted a public grand opening at their newest location at 111 N. Pitt Street Alexandria recently.

An official ribbon-cutting ceremony with Mayor Allison Silberberg kicked off the weekend on Veteran’s Day with guests enjoying free fries for “Fry day Friday.”

A portion of the grand opening’s proceeds were donated to A Wide Circle, a nonprofit organization designed to end poverty and help ensure that every child and adult has the chance to succeed and the opportunity to live well.

Once home to the pub Ireland’s Own, BurgerFi’s Old Town Alexandria location is one of the larger restaurants in the national chain, featuring local craft beers and wine — both on tap — and a pet-friendly courtyard patio dining area.

Local owners Dave Landry, his son Chris and their business partner Tim Kelly opened their first BurgerFi almost four years ago. For more information visit www.burgerfi.com.
