Unlawful Recording - A McLean District police officer began an investigation after they were called to the Sephora located at 1961 Chain Bridge Road at around 4 p.m. Saturday April 17. A female reported that a male held a camera underneath her skirt. The male was confronted by the female’s husband, and interviewed by the officer but denied taking photographs of the female.
After further investigation by the responding officer including a witness account, a warrant was obtained for unlawful creation of an image of another for a 31-year-old man from Alexandria. He was arrested on May 1 and transported to the Mt. Vernon District Police Station where the warrant was served.
Credit Card Fraud - 7900 block of Tysons Corner Center, May 1, 1:15 p.m. Officers responded to a report of credit card fraud. They observed a man who matched the description of the suspect. Officers detained the suspect and further investigation revealed he was in possession of stolen property and fraudulent credit cards. A 34-year-old man from North Carolina, was taken to jail and charged with larceny by false pretense, two counts of credit card theft, and three counts of credit card fraud.
Robbery - 8500 block of Leesburg Pike, May 1, 9:06 p.m. Two men entered a gas station and displayed handguns to an employee. The suspects took cash and other property and fled. Both suspects were described as black males, wearing dark clothing, and their faces covered. One suspect was approximately 5’6” and the other suspect was approximately 5’10”.
Robbery - 9300 block of Lee Highway, April 30, 6:07 p.m. The victim was walking to his vehicle in an apartment complex when he observed a man taking money from his car. The victim approached the suspect and a struggle ensued. The suspect displayed a handgun at the victim and then fled on a moped. Officers pursued the suspect and he was taken into custody. Investigation is still on-going and charges are pending.
