Alexandria Brief: Police Investigate Homicide

The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a murder that occurred in the 1000 block of First Street on Saturday, July 2. At approximately 3:33 a.m., officers responded to the area for a shooting. The victim, identified as Saquan Hall, 23, of Alexandria, was located by police suffering from trauma to the upper body. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he died.

Police Chief Earl Cook was scheduled to meet with residents at Charles Houston Recreation Center on Wednesday night, July 6.
