Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce launched its rebrand and restructure to the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce (Northern Virginia Chamber) at a breakfast on Wednesday, Jan. 6. Nearly 400 members of the regional business community, including Northern Virginia Chamber members of the board, member companies and community leaders from across the region attended.
The Northern Virginia Chamber represents 500,000 regional employees.
“The Northern Virginia Chamber will continue to be the Voice of Business in Northern Virginia,” said Mitchell D. Weintraub, partner, Cordia Partners and chairman, Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce. “It will strengthen and unify the business voice on regional priorities that supersede jurisdictional lines such as transportation, education, workforce and economic opportunity.”
“Having a unified business voice is important to the Northern Virginia business community,” said Adrian P. Chapman, president and chief operating officer, Washington Gas and WGL Holdings, Inc. “The issues that matter the most to businesses cross jurisdictional boundaries.”
