General Dynamics Corporation Coming to Reston

Supervisor Catherine M. Hudgins (D-Hunter Mill) will be hosting a meeting to introduce and discuss a new construction project on Sunset Hills Road. The developer is proposing construction of a new headquarters for General Dynamics Corporation, “a global aerospace and defense company.” The property is located on the south side of Sunset Hills Road, north of the Dulles Airport Access Road and west of Hunter Mill Road, 11011 Sunset Hills Road (Tax Map 18-3 ((1)), Parcel 11-B1).

Supervisor Hudgins said, “While this development will go through the standard Reston Planning and Zoning Committee review process, I wanted to also give the community an early opportunity to talk about the development and address any concerns. The owner and developer involved will be present and available for questions. My hope is that by engaging the community at the onset everyone can be fully informed as the review process proceeds.”

The meeting will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 7 p.m., at South Lakes High School Lecture Hall, 11400 South Lakes Drive, Reston (entrance closest to the stadium).
