The Alexandria Sheriff’s Office recently welcomed seven new deputies to its ranks. Kelly Allen, Joshua Barnes, Michael Boyd, Lamar Gayle, Sean Scalsky, Sahar Sherzai-Harding and Jirawat Tantiyangkul were sworn in during a ceremony at the Alexandria courthouse on Monday, Dec. 5. Clerk of Court Edward Semonian administered the oath of office to the recruits and then Sheriff Dana Lawhorne invited their family members and friends to join him in presenting them with their badges.
