Alexandria Crime Report

The following incidents were reported by the Alexandria Police Department:

DEC. 16

  • The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a bomb threat at Charles Barrett Elementary School in the 1100 block of Martha Custis Drive. Students were evacuated to 1225 Martha Custis Drive. Bus riders were dismissed from there. Once the police had cleared the building, remaining students returned to the school for a later-than-usual dismissal, according to Alexandria City Public Schools.

  • The Alexandria Police Department is investigating the robbery of a Wells Fargo Bank located at 3624 King St. At 2:05 p.m., a man entered the bank, passed the teller a note, and implied that he had a weapon. He demanded money, the teller complied and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. There were no injuries. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’10” tall with a large build. He was wearing a grey and black coat, blue jeans, grey and white tennis shoes, and a black baseball cap. DEC. 13

The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a robbery at a convenience store in the unit block of S. Reynolds Street. Two suspects displayed a firearm and stole cash. There were no injuries.

DEC. 11

The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a robbery in the 6100 block of Lincolnia Road. Three suspects brandished a firearm and stole cash from the victim. There were no injuries.

DEC. 8

The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a pedestrian struck traffic crash at the intersection N. Fairfax Street and Pendleton Street. The pedestrian was transported to a hospital with serious injuries.

DEC. 7

The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a robbery at a convenience store in the 2000 block of Eisenhower Avenue. Two suspects displayed a firearm and stole cash and merchandise. There were no injuries.

DEC. 1

The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a pedestrian struck traffic crash at the intersection of Mt. Vernon Avenue and W. Glebe Road. The pedestrian was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
