SHOPLIFTING/POSSESSION OF BURGLARIOUS TOOLS/ARREST: 13000 block of Fair Lakes Shopping Center (Wal-Mart), Dec. 10 around 7:30 p.m. Two men were arrested for stealing cell phones. A 22-year-old man from Triangle, Va., and a 20-year-old man from Fairfax were taken to the adult detention center and charged with concealing merchandise and possession of burglarious tools. Each suspect also had two outstanding warrants for grand larceny and larceny with the intent to distribute, which were served at the jail.
INDECENT EXPOSURE: 2900 block of Hunters Branch Road, Dec. 9 around 7 p.m. An investigation determined a 25-year-old woman was in an apartment complex building. As she was walking to an apartment, she turned and saw a man touching himself inappropriately. The suspect was described as Hispanic, between 20 and 30 years old, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and 200 pounds. He was wearing light gray sweatpants, a black zip-up jacket, sock and sandals. The victim did not require medical attention.
ROBBERY: 12200 block of Fair Lakes Promenade Drive. Dec. 6, 12:55 p.m. A man entered the GameStop, pointed a gun at an employee and demanded video games. The employee handed over an undisclosed number of games and the suspect ran away. He was described as light skin, black or Hispanic. He was 5 feet 6 inches to 6 feet tall; wearing a dark, hooded sweatshirt, with a neck warmer covering his face. The employee was not injured.
COMMERCIAL ROBBERY: 12200 block of Fair Lakes Promenade (Game Stop), Dec. 6, around 1 p.m. A man entered the store, pointed a handgun at an employee, took merchandise and fled on foot. The suspect was described as white or Hispanic, wearing a dark hoodie, dark sweatpants, and carrying a red Nike satchel. The victim did not require medical attention.
BURGLARY: 12300 Ox Hill Road, between 11:55 p.m. Nov. 29 and 1:30 p.m. Nov. 30. Investigation determined entry was made through an open garage. A coat and wallet were reported missing.
GRAND LARCENY: 11778 Fair Oaks Shopping Center. Nov. 23, 8:35 p.m. Neighborhood Patrol Officers attempted to stop several shoplifting suspects they had been alerted to by Fair Oaks Shopping Center Loss Prevention Officers. The suspects fled and a short foot pursuit ensued. One suspect dropped a loaded handgun during the chase. Five suspects were caught and arrested. Suspected marijuana, cocaine and Oxycontin pills were seized and the stolen merchandise was recovered. All suspects were from the Prince William County area and range in age from 18 to 25. The investigation is ongoing.
ACCIDENTAL DISCHARGE OF A FIREARM: 10300 block of Emerald Rock Drive, Nov. 19 around 9:45 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a shot person. A 36-year-old man accidentally discharged one round after mishandling his pistol. He was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation is ongoing; possible charges pending.
ATTEMPTED ROBBERY: 11100 block of Lee Highway. Nov. 11, 4:36 a.m. A 69-year-old woman was sitting in her car in the Walmart parking lot when an unknown man walked up, pointed a gun at her and told her to get out of the car. The victim beeped her car horn several times, causing the suspect to flee. She was not injured. The suspect was described as white, with a green, hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black shoes and a green backpack.
BURGLARY / DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY / ARREST: 2600 block of Sledding Hill Road, Nov. 5, 9:59 a.m. The owner of the residence reported a female inside of their home. Charmaine Talaya Waldon, 45, of Vienna, was arrested and charged with burglary and destruction of property.
