Officers from the Fairfax County Police Department’s Motor Carrier Safety Unit conducted a commercial vehicle safety inspection in the parking lot of the Greenbriar Shopping Center in Chantilly on Tuesday, Sept. 1, from 7-11 a.m. As a result of their efforts, 20 trucks were inspected. 44 violations were noted, 10 traffic summonses were written and seven trucks were taken out of service — meaning taken off of the roadway for being unsafe.
