Montgomery County Public Schools welcomed more than 156,000 students for the first day of the 2015–2016 school year on Monday, Aug. 31, the largest enrollment in the district’s history. Enrollment in MCPS is increasing by more than 2,600 students this year, the eighth straight year of growth greater than 2,000 students.
